The framework behind our recommendations — how chauffeurs, vehicles, restaurants, and partner properties make it onto our short list, and how we keep them there.
Every operator in this category claims excellence. Our methodology is the discipline behind the claim — the criteria, audits, and feedback loops that determine which chauffeurs we hire, which vehicles we run, and which restaurants and accommodation partners we recommend.

Our methodology operates at three levels: people (chauffeurs and concierges), assets (vehicles), and partners (accommodation properties, restaurants, cultural guides). Each layer carries its own criteria, periodic audits, and an explicit removal process when standards slip.

Initial vetting includes background checks, driving-history review, references, and an interview focused on temperament and communication. After hiring, chauffeurs complete defensive-driving and luxury-service-etiquette training and route familiarisation across all major regions of Bali. Guest feedback is recorded after every assignment and reviewed quarterly with each chauffeur.

Every vehicle in our fleet is under three years old, with daily inspections before dispatch, weekly deep-cleaning, and full mechanical servicing every 5,000 km. Hospital-grade interior sanitisation occurs between guests. Any vehicle that fails a single inspection point is grounded until rectified.
Accommodation partners are evaluated against four criteria: property quality, staff hospitality, location, and ease of guest handover. We schedule annual on-site reviews and rotate properties off the recommended list when standards drop, regardless of long-standing relationships.

Our restaurant short-list is curated personally by our concierge director, who eats at every recommended venue before adding it to the list. Cultural experiences (cooking classes, weaving workshops, temple ceremonies) are similarly vetted through direct participation, not by third-party review alone.

Every guest receives a discreet post-departure feedback request. Themes are reviewed monthly and concrete changes — from chauffeur retraining to partner removal — flow from those reviews. We treat the system as a discipline, not a marketing claim.
