Distance & Drive Time

Approximately 37 km from DPS to Ubud’s cultural centre. Standard drive time is 60–90 minutes; late-afternoon and weekend traffic can extend this by an additional 30–45 minutes during peak windows.

What You Pass Along the Way

The route begins in urbanised south Denpasar before threading through artisanal villages: Batubulan (stone carving), Celuk (silversmithing), and Mas (woodcarving). The landscape opens into rice terraces and jungle in the final 10–15 minutes as you approach Ubud.

Ask a Question

How long does the DPS to Ubud drive really take?

60–90 minutes in light traffic. Plan for 90–120 minutes if arriving between 4 PM and 8 PM, especially on Fridays and weekends, when southern Bali traffic peaks.

Can the chauffeur stop along the way?

Yes — for direct transfers we typically run direct, but if you would like a short stop at a Batubulan stone-carving workshop, a Celuk silversmith, or a coffee plantation, simply let us know when booking and we will build the buffer into the booking.

Should I upgrade to VIP airport arrival?

Most beneficial after long-haul flights or with elderly family or young children. It reduces the time from aerobridge to chauffeur by 30–45 minutes and removes every queue.

Is the rate the same at any time of day?

Yes. We do not apply night surcharges or peak-hour multipliers on standard transfers. The price you see at booking is the price you pay.
